Hello. My name is Sorina and I’m gonna show you how to make a maracas.

You’ll need:

• a plastic easter egg,
• 2 plastic spoons,
• some tape and
• rice or small stones.

You’ll start making the instrument by filling the egg with the stones.

Then continue with taping the plastic spoons on both sides. Tape the spoon ends together. Here is your maracas.

You can make more than one. Fill each egg with something different for various sounds. You can use: beans, corn, rice, couscous, lentils or whatever you have at home.

If you don’t want to add the spoons, you can just leave it like that and you’ll have an egg-shaker.
