We’re gonna make some paper plate cymbals that actually sound like castagnettes.

We’ll need:

• 2 paper plates,
• 20 metallic bottle caps,
• a stitching awl
• colorful paper strings,
• a 3 mm nail and
• a hammer.

We begin by stitching 10 holes in each plate, plus 2 in the middle, where the handles will be attached. Let’s begin with the handles. Then we’re gonna cut the strings and make some knots. We’ll use the nail and hammer to make some holes into the bottle caps. Then put the strings through the caps and plate and then make a knot on the other side of the plate. You can also use some paint or some markers to decorate your cymbals.
